Growing
up with roots on opposite sides of the world, I’ve come to realize that
diversity is a gift. It’s a journey of learning,
celebrating differences, and finding harmony. In Japan, I see the grace of
cherry blossoms—the fleeting beauty of life—and the calm reflection of ancient
traditions. In the Dominican Republic, I feel the rhythm, the warmth of the people,
and the burning Caribbean sun. It’s like having the best of both worlds right
in my heart."
Diversity
has taught me that there’s strength in differences and beauty in understanding.
Being both Japanese and Dominican has shown me that no single culture has all
the answers, but together? Together, we create a world that’s richer, much brighter,
and more connected."
"So, today
I celebrate not just for myself, but for everyone who’s
ever felt caught between cultures. Let’s embrace the idea that our differences
make us extraordinary.
