Gastronomy, Sushi, Izakaya, Flavors

Cheers to good times ahead... and Food!

As much as I Love... I eat! so, lets dive into the most fascinating and delicious side of culture; Food.

Izakaya Nana is a vibrant Japanese restaurant and sake bar located in the heart of Flushing, Queens. This dynamic place offers a unique fusion of traditional Japanese izakaya culture with a modern twist, creating an experience that feels like stepping into a bustling Tokyo alleyway. The decor is a feast for the eyes, featuring colorful paper lanterns, intricate torii gates, and authentic Japanese artifacts, such as samurai swords and Ukiyo-e art.

What sets Izakaya Nana apart is its variety of themed private dining rooms, each offering a distinct ambiance, from the serene Tatami room to the lively DJ room and the whimsical Sakura room adorned with cherry blossom motifs. For anime enthusiasts, the walls are adorned with vibrant character collages, making it a haven for fans.

The menu is a culinary journey through Japan, offering an extensive selection of fresh sushi, sizzling yakitori skewers, and inventive fusion dishes. A standout favorite is the Wagyu Foie Gras Uni, a luxurious combination of wagyu beef, sea urchin, and foie gras, with optional upgrades like truffle or caviar for an indulgent treat. My favorite was the "Signature Sample", this is the perfect way of tasting different textures and flavors all at once in my opinion. The bar complements the dining experience with creative cocktails infused with Japanese flavors, alongside an impressive selection of sake.

Izakaya Nana doesn’t just stop at great food—it’s also a hub for entertainment. Guests can enjoy the lively atmosphere of a weekend DJ set or reserve the spacious karaoke room for a memorable night with friends. A unique tradition adds to the excitement: the sound of a drum signals a surprise round of drinks for everyone, a gesture from a generous patron.

Open daily until late, Izakaya Nana offers more than just a meal—it delivers an unforgettable escape into Japanese culture, blending tradition, creativity, and a touch of modern nightlife in the middle of NY.

Cheers to life
